AN acoustic concert will be held in memory of Cal Newman and in support of charity on April 10.

All proceeds will go to Guitars for Disadvantaged Children and the concert will be held at Barry Island Sports and Social Club from 8pm.

Tickets cost £5 each and are available from the concert sponsors Marco’s Cafe, Barry Island and Cranes music store, St Mary’s Street, Cardiff.

Arts at the event will include Jelly Roll Jones, Sicknote Steve, Hank Hillman, Viv Hinds Payne, Dave Lee Jones, Pip and more.

The event is being held in partnership with the charity NYAS; a charity that provides advocacy services to children/young people who are looked after in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Sharon Lovell, director for Wales said, “We work with children and young people who want to have their voices heard within decision making processes when they want something stopped, started or changed. We are independent from social services and our services are confidential. If a child/young person wants help they can contact our national helpline Monday – Friday between 9am – 8pm or Saturday 10am – 4pm on 0808 8081001”.
