AN Opera Art Exhibition will be opening at West Wharf Gallery until December 13.
Sarah and Nichola Hope have been making art work at the Welsh National Opera since 2005. The twin sisters have built a rapport and relationship with the WNO that gives them intimate and inspirational access to the company’s rehearsals.
In the works theatricality comes from the subject through use of composition, gesture, costume and props. The work with the Welsh National Opera has produced a rich, visual documentation of the opera company's history. The works on display here are just some of the hundreds of drawings that have been produced.
The Gallery is open Thursday to Saturday from 10am until 5pm.
