ST David’s Hall will be holding three Christmas concerts all in aid of good causes.

The first concert on Thursday, December 11 will be the 32nd annual Christmas Concert of Seasonal Music and Carols.

Proceeds of the event will be going to the CLIC Sargent Charity, which cares for children with cancer.

Harpist Hannah Stone and organist Jane Watts will be accompanied by a brass ensemble of Welsh and a 250-voice hospital choir for a night of festive classics. The performance will be conducted by David J Davies and feature children from Llanfoist Fawr Primary School, Abergavenny.

On Saturday, December 13 the yuletide cheer continues with Carols for Christmas led by the BBC National Chorus of Wales alongside a massed choir of primary school pupils in aid of Children In Need. The morning show will be conducted by Adrian Partington and include readings by BBC Cymru Wales presenters, as well as the usual medley of popular carols.

On the same day there’s also a Christmas Concert with Carols from Côr Meibion De Cymru with proceeds going to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, which aims to beat all blood cancers. Ben Smith will appear as Tenor, accompanied by soloists Harry, Charlie and Eirlys Jones. And if you’re good, there may even be a visit from Santa Claus himself.
