BARRY Choral Society is pleased to invite all to their Christmas Concert, Lullaby of the Nativity, on Friday, December 12 at Crossway Methodist Church, Court Road at 7pm.

The concert will be conducted by Emma Arscott and accompanied by Sian Davies. The choir will perform Candlelight Carol by John Rutter, Ding Dong Merrily on High arr. by Martin Williamson, Christmas Lullaby arr. by Mac Huff, A Lullaby of the Nativity by Richard Blackford, Patapan, Past Three a Clock and The Shepherds Farewell by Berlioz.

The choir’s performance of Elgar’s The Snow will be accompanied by violinist Helina Rees.

Helina is the choir’s guest artiste for the concert and will be performing in the first and second half. Helina was born and brought up in Barry before she moved to London to pursue a four year degree at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 1996. She is now working as a freelance musician and teaches violin and piano privately.

The audience will be encouraged to participate with the choir and raise the roof in their singing of some beautiful, well loved traditional carols.

Tickets cost £6 which will include tea, coffee and mince pies. Tickets are on sale at Harmony Furnishing, High Street, Choir members and on the door.
