ORBIT Theatre, Wales’ number one amateur company returns to the New Theatre, Cardiff with the heart warming festive musical White Christmas.
Running from Tuesday, December 2 until Saturday 6, Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davies have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II.
With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander.
Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heart-warming musical features seventeen unforgettable Irving Berlin songs including Sisters, Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep is the Ocean and the perennial favourite, White Christmas.
With stunning costumes and glittering sets, this truly memorable musical from Orbit Theatre, is the perfect Christmas treat guaranteed to get everyone in the festive mood.
The production features a number of Barry based cast members including Deryn who has been a member of the company since the eighties and has played many memorable roles with Orbit including Miss Mazeppa in Gypsy, Mamma Morton in Chicago and the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz. She is best known for her comedy roles with her good friend Frank Vickery. Deryn plays Martha Watson the cheeky eaves-dropping housekeeper singing and dancing her way to Christmas Eve.
