THE final event of the Cowbridge Book festival 2014 will be something quite different. Award winning author Katie Fforde, debut novelist Jo Thomas and BBC broadcaster Lucy Owen will have an intimate conversation between good friends.

Recognised for her heart-warming, uplifting and beautifully written stories about the twists and turns of everyday life Katie Fforde’s latest book, The Perfect Match will not disappoint her many fans. A wonderfully romantic novel it is the perfect escapist book. Jo Thomas’s debut novel The Oystercatcher has been described as heartwarming and impossible to put down, it was a runaway best seller e-book and although it is only just becoming available in paperback it is predicted to be a best seller.

Katie, who is consistently a top five Sunday Times best selling writer offers her support to new writers through the Katie Fforde Bursary and it is through this scheme that she has befriended and become mentor to local novelist Jo Thomas. These two talented and lively ladies will discuss their books and talk about their very different experiences under the skilled guidance of Lucy Owen.

This promises to be a feel good, fun evening – Katie and Jo are looking forward to talking about their experiences and sharing their thoughts with BBC newsreader and broadcaster Lucy Owen. It will be presented at Cowbridge United Free Church on Wednesday, November 12 at 7.30pm.
