TO mark the beginning of the Poppy Appeal fortnight, the Royal British Legion Riders and their motorcycles will be in Morrisons car park, Barry from 10am until 11.30am on Saturday, October 25. All are welcome to come and chat to the riders and see the impressive bikes, riders are happy for photographs.

Then in the evening there will be a concert of remembrance at St Mary’s Church, Holton Road starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 on the door. The concert is a mix of nostalgia and traditional remembrance and features Barry Male Voice Choir, Barry Brass Band and Angela, Songs that Won the War. All proceeds to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Treasure Trove Fairs is holding an Antique and Craft fair at the Copthorne Hotel, Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff on Sunday, October 26.

There is free parking and the entrance is open from 10am until 4pm. Admission is £1.50 each and accompanying children are free, trade is £1 and students with a NUS card are £1.

New dealers will be present with Russian silver, works of art, jewellery, militaria, furniture, football memorabilia, vintage fashions, clocks, books and more which will please a keen collector.

Barry Spiritualist Church and Centre, Buttrills Road is holding a divine service on Sunday, October 26 at 6pm with Les Jones and Maureen Howells.

Monday, October 27 at 7pm is open circle.

Spiritualist healing is available Thursday at 2pm-3.30pm and 6.30pm-7.30pm.
