RANGERS are continuing their Go Wild autumn events for children aged 5 to 11 with a Beach Safari at Porthkerry Country Park on Wednesday, October 29.
On the Strandline Safari children will get the chance to unlock the secrets of the shore by collecting natural items washed up along the strandline from shark eggs to seaweeds.
Children will have the opportunity to identify and explore which animals live in the seas, and have a greater understanding of the threats to the shores.
Using what they’ve found children will also be shown how to create beautiful natural art prints using the ancient Japanese technique of gyotaku on the beach.
It will cost £3 per person and children aged 5-7 must be accompanied by an adult with everyone meeting at the Forest Lodge at 10.45am to register.
To book a place or for more information call the rangers on 02920 701678.
