A BARRY councillor is seeking help in trying to organise a Jazz Festival for the town which he hopes will take place in mid June 2015.
Councillor Richard Bertin, who represents the town’s Court ward, is looking for people to join him on an organising committee and for local companies to become sponsors of the summer weekend event which will be held throughout Barry next year.
It is hoped that this event will help boost tourism in the town and will be held in a number of venues across the town.
Cllr Bertin is looking to hold monthly meetings in the run-up to the event at the Civic Offices in Barry.
