NORTHERN Ballet will bring the ultimate rags to riches fairy-tale to Cardiff this April with a magical production of Cinderella at the New Theatre from Tuesday-Saturday, April 8-12.
Set within a fantasy world of Imperial Russia, Cinderella’s life is turned upside down following the death of her father. Subject to the coldness and cruelty of her stepmother and kept as a servant by her family, Cinderella finds solace on the frozen lake where she first sees her Prince Charming. As romance blossoms, a magical encounter in a market place changes Cinderella’s destiny.
Audiences will be transported through elegant Russia, with breathtaking winter scenes and opulent ballrooms accompanied by a new score played live by Northern Ballet Sinfonia.
Tickets are on sale now with prices from £9 to £28. For further details about the show or to book tickets visit www.newtheatrecardiff.co.uk or call the box office on (029) 2087 8889.
All ticket prices include a 50p seating improvement contribution and online sales carry a small additional transaction charge.
