Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Millennium Centre, Cardiff.

WHAT a great way to brighten up your week, going to see Joseph at the Wales Millenium Centre on the opening night.

Joseph was played by Ian H Watkins - better known to thousands of Steps fans as 'H' - and he was fantastic.

What a great voice to carry those well-known songs from this popular Tim Rice/Andrew Lloyd Webber classic show such as Coat of Many Colours and Any Dream Will Do.

This biblical tale of the prodigal son was brought alive by the narrator played by the very talented Jennifer Potts who has a great voice.

The tale of Joseph and his 11 brothers who, jealous of their brother, sell him to slavery and tell their father he is dead, made you laugh and cry in this truly colourful production.

Directed by Bill Kenwright the show included a choir of youngsters from The Mark Jemin Stage School.

The show was fun, lively, colourful with well-loved songs which the audience loved as they clapped, danced and cheered.

It was obvious everyone on stage was having a good time as were the audience. H was overwhelmed by the obvious appreciation of his performance.

Treat yourself to a great night out. Show ends Saturday.
