Martial Arts students compete at Worcester

STUDENTS of the Welsh Academy of Martial Arts travelled to Worcester to take part in the British Open Series. The results are as follows:

Ryan Newman, 1st Place Semi-Contact - Ryan who is an orange belt has only recently joined the fighting scene, shows great potential in becoming an excellent martial artist.

Ryan again fought in the Light Contact section, and was unfortunately disqualified for using too much power.

Adam Edwards 1st Place Light Contact - Adam an orange belt has only recently returned to training, and has shown that he too has great potential to becoming an excellent martial artist.

Kyron Caddick 2nd Place Semi Contact - Kyron who is just eight years of age, has been an excellent martial artist from the young age of four and is heading for great heights in martial arts.

Kyron also took 3rd place in the Light Contact Section.

Thomas Harris 2nd Place Semi Contact - Thomas has had a break from the fighting scene for a few months, but made a come back by taking 2nd Place in the Semi-Contact section beating the World Champion. Thomas was winning 4 - 1 at one stage of the fight, but his opponent beat Thomas by 5 - 4. Unlucky Thomas. Next time.

James Sheekey, Jordan Sheekey, and Jamie Rasis who are outstanding martial artists just had bad luck on the day, by facing biased refereeing, but all fought exceptionally well.

New to the fighting scene are the following Brave Little Ninjas who train in the Little Ninjas Classes where the age group range from three - eight years of age.

First to fight was Little Joshua Harris, who proved that one day he will make an excellent martial artist. Well done Joshua.

2nd to fight was the Litte Tiger Olivia Heathfield, Olivia was winning her fight against a boy but was unfortunately unlucky this time.

3rd to fight was little Bethan Deakin who tried really hard but was beaten by a boy much larger than her. Next time Bethan.
