DID you read the letter School Cash (Barry & District, April 20) by Trudi Watts of Gibbonsdown Plaid?
If I read the letter correctly, the facts were that schools in the Barry area are to get extra funding, although Ms Watts failed to say where from.
She then went on to say that the total amount was some £181,000 more money claiming to be always keen for our schools to have extra funds. Yet despite this she then went on and had a right old whine.
You would have thought that she would have been thrilled that more money was coming to schools in Barry, but not a bit of it.
All she seemed to be doing was moaning about the extra cash. The members of Plaid Cymru should see the glass as half full not half empty.
Of course we would all like to see more money going to schools, but at the end of the day someone has to pay for it and in most cases this means the taxpayer.
Although Plaid Cymru knows all about putting up taxes, it s thanks to Plaid that the Vale of Glamorgan Council has announced a 5.5 per cent Council Tax increase this year; something that Plaid Cymru did not vote against.
Oh dear, maybe poor old Plaid should rename themselves yet again, this time to Plaid Cymru, party of whingers.
