Destruction

WITH reference to Pencoedtre Woodland and its possible destruction.

I hope that the people of Barry make it known to their respective councillors that this woodland should remain unspoilt and be left for future generations.

All too often areas that may appear to be of little use to the public in general are being taken away be developments.

When it becomes known that some sites are considered of scientific interest most people take note and agree that something should be done to stop progress.

The Woodland Trust has brought the threat of the destruction of ancient Woodland at Pencoedtre to the attention of the Vale with articles published in the Barry & District News.

This gives those who care an opportunity to speak out against planning proposals and save the site.

Become a NIMAW Not in My Ancient Woodland and make your feelings known to your ward councillor.
