Linnets all set to celebrate

THE Linnets finish their season with an away game against Master Mariner this Saturday.

Meanwhile, Barry FC would like to welcome everyone to its first ever end-of-season Player of the Year presentation night at The Castle on Saturday, May 6.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from a number of supporters, the entry for the evening will be free as a thank you to the many people who have willingly given their time, money and effort throughout the season.

All of the club's sponsors, players and supporters are invited, as well as any other supporters of local football, as the Linnets celebrate the success of completing a first full season.

Voting took place at a recent home match for the Supporters' Player of the Year, and there will also be presentations for the Manager's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year.

Additionally, a special presentation will be made to retiring manager Ashley Griffiths for his loyal service to football in Barry for so many years.

The night will include a buffet, some karaoke and a bar until midnight. All are welcome.

Contact Tim Johnson, tel 01446 734050 for information.

* THE six numbers drawn in Monday's Linnets Lotto (at the Castle Hotel, Jewel Street) were 1, 3, 8, 9, 11, 15.

There were no winners, so next week's six numbers can be selected from 1 to 14. The jackpot has risen to £850.

Tickets are £1 as usual, with all profits being put back in to helping Barry FC.
