THE annual Kyle Smith Memorial Football Match was held on the Bank Holiday weekend - and the crowds turned out in force to remember Kyle and raise money for two deserving causes.
This was the second year the event has been held, in memory of St Cyres pupil Kyle, from Wenvoe, who died last February in a crash on the Ely Link Road.
The day kicked of at 2pm with match, in which a Wenvoe side took on a Dinas Powys side - both teams wearing strips bearing Kyle s name.
At half time there was a penalty shoot out for the youngsters and the start of balloon race.
Following the game there was a raffle and auction, and all followed by food at the Wenvoe Arms.
Proceeds from the day will be donated to Breast Cancer Care and RoadPeace.
