Defeat for Colcot FC

COLCOT FC 1

MASTER MARINER 2

COLCOT FC travelled to Rhoose last Saturday to face Master Mariner for the third time this season.

Colcot started slowly and were put under pressure early on in the game.

Just as the Colcot were beginning to find their rhythm and play some good flowing football, a breakaway from the Mariner allowed them to take the lead.

Colcot were not to be outdone, and Matthew Hoare capitalised on a loose ball to calmly run into the box and slot home.

They nearly added to this goal when some super work from Amos ended with a fine through ball to Hoare whose shot was well blocked by the Mariner defence.

During half time Donnelly and Davies were introduced to give Colcot some added pace.

However, it was Mariner who again took the lead when the Colcot defence did not fully clear their lines and allowed a shot to be taken that found its way into the back of the net.

Colcot battled well to the end and worked hard to get back into the game, but the goal that they needed was not forthcoming and the game ended in defeat for Colcot who now face Sully Sports and will hope to return to winning ways as the season draws to an end.
