Champion date for the Dragons

BARRY Dragons Tae Kwon Do Club took part in the Welsh Ring of Champions organised by the UTAW and KKAW at Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre.

The traditional patterns was won by Cameron Davies with Tom Farmer taking second and Mollie Arbuthnot third to make it a clean sweep for the Dragons.

Cameron also took a third in weapons and Jadine Procope and Carys Thomas took first place in team weapons.

Then it was on to sparring with medals for Rhys Thomas, first in continuous sparring, and Sam Sturgess second.

There were also sparring medals for Jadine Procope, Mollie Arbuthnot, Cameron Davies and Tom Farmer.

Ffion Thomas picked up her first medal, finishing third in points sparring. The Dragons train at the Millennium Centre on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 11am to 12.30pm; and at the YMCA on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm, and Saturdays from 5pm to 7pm.
