AFTER A disappointing 90 minutes against St Athan, the Wenvoe management team of Brown, Vaughan and Moat all agreed that it could not get any worse.
During the first 45 minutes it was all Wenvoe, who opened the scoring and also had various chances cleared off the line from strikers Fuller, Scott and Walters, but after 30 minutes Walters picked up an injury and had to be replaced by Lamb.
After the break, Wenvoe attempted to finish the game off, but found that KFC were pushing for a goal of their own.
They came close on several occasions, and finally netted after errors by Blackmore and Payne and from Bright in goal, let the ball in to the net. This allowed KFC into the game and they had a lot more luck with the ball than Wenvoe.
There was heroic defending from Roberts, Sergeant and L Brown, who tried to push for the second goal, which finally came after KFC scored again after a mix-up in the defence.
Both Paul Nang and Gareth Evans tried to play the ball to the forwards, but found it tough against the young legs of the KFC.
At the end of the 90 minutes, kit man Moat summed the game up by saying that although all had agreed things could not get worse, in fact they had!
