I NEED advice on where I can buy net curtains, Levi or Wrangler Jeans or designer underwear. I live in Barry but cannot find these simple items anywhere.

I asked a few friends who suggested McArthur Glen, or Cardiff.

We have Wilkinsons and Argos in the town, but can you actually see the washing machine or cooker you want to buy in store?

No, we have to rely on catalogues for Argos, and most of the items stocked in Wilkinsons you can buy in Tesco, Morrisons, Boots or Woolworth.

Let"s hope after April, when King Square should be completed, we will see some life in the town, as at the moment you are only on a winner if you want a charity shop, bank/building society, shoe shop, send a card or two or have your hair done.

As for clothes most of us girls have to be a size 10, and I feel sorry for you men - Burtons or Peacocks that"s your choice.

All I wanted was net curtains. I got them in Cardiff Market in the end.
