Susan sets sights on Scotland

BARRY fencer Susan Dodd heads for Scotland this weekend with the rest of the Welsh Youth team for the Home International tournament in Edinburgh.

The 16-year-old Cardiff Fencing Club member recently proved her good form by helping her club retain their women's Welsh Team Foil title at the Welsh Institute of Sport.

Dodd was the only fencer remaining from last year's winning trio, her 2005 teammates opting to concentrate on epee this year, but nevertheless collected another gold, along with Tina Weckschmied and Aimee Ridsdale.
