Jade is a contender

A SULLY Lifeguard will be one of the contestants at the Grand Final of Miss Great Britain 2006.

Jade Blackmore, aged 18, is one of 50 girls competing for the title.

Jade, a criminology and law student at the University of Wales, Swansea, is a qualified lifeguard and swimming instructor.

She said: "The competition will partly be decided by a public vote so I want as many people in the Barry area to support me as possible."

Members of the public can support Jade by texting MBG3 (capitals and no spaces) to 83070.

The final will take place this Saturday, February 25 in The Great Room at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane.
