Thems the breaks as club aids good cause

A MARTIAL arts group made a series of clean but rather noisy breaks last week, to raise cash for the Richard Taylor fund.

Members of Barry Kyokushin Karate Club held a sponsored slate break at the Castleland Community Centre last Monday.

Richard Taylor was making his mark in the world of freestyle skating and skiing when he died in a skating accident in August 2004.

Richard's mum Gaynor is trying to raise money to revamp facilities at the Knap Skate Park.

Read next week's Barry and District News to find out more about the event, and how much money was raised.
