Tree failure

REGARDING the headline on page five of last week"s Barry & District News: "Kerbside tree recycling is a success."

The council like to pat themselves on the back for a job well done, but yet again they have failed the village of East Aberthaw.

Residents put out their trees for collection on the correct date and one week later they were still there - despite repeated telephone calls and promises that they would be collected the next day.

In the end I took my tree to the amenity site in Llandow, and so did several of my neighbours.
