Bad move

I DO not agree with the Towers Surgery move (Barry and District News, January 12), and many patients are of the same opinion, unless they have cars.

Originally the surgery was in Porthkerry Road, and moved to the Towers building. Many patients at Porthkerry Surgery had half an hour"s walk to the new premises.

I for one will now have to pay for a taxi to reach The Waterfront area.

The council quoted that "the stairs were too steep at the present building", thus the move.

I have climbed these stairs for years, no problem.

But the real reason is, the council is slowly making Barry town a dead area.

It is a shame, all these stores having to close.

I am one of many not happy with The Towers moving further away.
