It's official - hospice is record-breaker

REMEMBER the amazing sight of 33.74 miles of scarf covering the Millennium Stadium pitch in June of this year?

Well it"s now official - Ty Hafan the Children"s Hospice in Wales has been recognised by Guinness as World Record Holders of the Longest Scarf ever knitted.

In knitting the scarf, volunteers raised a magnificent £62,000 to help the hospice continue its care of children with life limiting conditions and their families throughout Wales.

"We are delighted for everyone who worked so hard," said Pam Dodd, Director of Fundraising at the Appeal Office in Barry.

The scarf has been handed on to the charity Feed the Children who have been making it into blankets and clothing for children in stricken areas of the world.

Ty Hafan has launched another project to produce a Millennium Stadium pitch-sized dragon embracing all textile crafts.
