Welsh winners put through paces by RAF

PRIOR TO their most successful game this season - the victory over Australia - the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) National Team were training hard at RAF St Athan.

The training day was planned in conjunction with the launch of the Royal Air Force as the new official sponsor of Junior Rugby in Wales for the next three years.

The Welsh team had a closed training session in the Station's well equipped gymnasium under the watchful eyes of the Station's PTIs.

Wing Commander Read said: "It was a privilege to host the Welsh Rugby squad at St Athan. The fact that they went on to a famous sporting victory, so much the better."
