Firefighters" auction

FIREFIGHTERS Paul Sansom and mates auctioned themselves for a day's work, during a charity night at Barry Fire Station.

Staff at Jenner Park School were the successful bidders, and although unfortunately the other firefighters were ill on the day. Paul worked extremely hard in the school's garden.

Broad Street Garden Centre supplied the earth, and this was a great help.

Paul has promised to return to the school to do some more work in the nursery playground.

Karen White and the Friends of Jenner Park School recently held a charity night where staff dressed in school uniform and raised 285 for the school and Barry Fire Benevolent Fund.

Karen would like to thank local businesses for donating raffle prizes and a special thank you to Gail and Dawn of Themes 2 Dreams for decorating the hall.

It gave the party a great look and was appreciated by everyone present.
