Media focus falls on school campaign

ANTI-Bullying Week (November 21-25) has hit the headlines recently - and Barry Comprehensive School's long-running Anti-Bullying Programme was the focus of media attention in South Wales.

Emma Smith from Real radio, Beth Cowley from Red Dragon Radio and Lewis Vaughan-Jones from ITV all spent time at the school, talking to pupils and staff about the school's approach to tackling bullying.

Patrick Legge, press officer for the children's charity NCH Cymru also chose Barry Comprehensive to promote awareness of the increase in text message bullying amongst children.

Advice for children and parents can be found at the NCH/Tesco mobile website, www.stoptextbully.com

Pupils and staff were featured in broadcasts on Real Radio, Red Dragon Radio, Classic FM, ITV Lunchtime News and ITV Evening News.
