DWR Cymru Welsh Water is inviting Barry people to take a look at the company's plans for 1.2 million improvement work to the local wastewater network.
As part of the company's 53 million investment programme to improve Barry's bathing water, this phase of work will be carried out within the grassed area adjacent to Merthyr Dyfan Road.
It involves the installation of an underground storm water storage facility and associated pipe work and is designed to increase the capacity of the system in storm weather conditions.
The work is scheduled to begin in November, with completion due in approximately 25 weeks.
Plans for the scheme will be exhibited at Holm View Leisure Centre, Skomer Road, on Tuesday, October 4.
The exhibition will be open from 4pm to 7pm and people are invited to go along to see the proposals and discuss the scheme with members of the project team.
Andrew Bowen, Welsh Water's regional investment manager, said: "It's important to us that our customers are informed and understand why we are doing this work.
"The exhibition allows us to address any reasonable concerns which residents or members of the local community may have and provides an opportunity for both parties to work together to understand each others' needs and minimise any future disruption."
