YOU dont have to wait for Father Christmas to get fantastic pressies.
Fancy yourself as a bit of an artist ?
Then why not enter the South Wales Police design Christmas Card Competition?
You could be in with the chance of winning a fantastic digital camera as well a gift voucher worth up to 100 toward travel cost to South Wales Police headquarters, where both you and your class mates will be able to enjoy a fun, action packed day out - all expenses paid.
Your picture can be of anything that signifies policing in the winter. Perhaps your card could carry a safety message, such as'Don't Drink and Drive this Christmas' or can even just be of a snowman dressed as a policeman.
The decision is completely up to you, all we ask is that you be as creative as you possibly can.
The winners of the competition will have their entries turned into real Christmas Cards, which will then be bought by divisional commanders from your area, and sent to people both far and wide. Just think! This year a Christmas card designed by you could be sitting on the Mattel pieces of hundreds of homes not only throughout the country - but also throughout the world.
Please send your Yuletide pictures to: Julia Mason, Museum Curator, South Wales Police Headquarters, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend CF31 9SU by Monday, October 10, 2005. Please don't forget to enclose your contact details on a separate piece of paper, with your name and telephone number the name of your school, your date of birth, age, and the address of your school.
You must be aged between seven and 11 years to enter this competition and attend a school from within the South Wales Police force area. Entries will not be returned. The winner will be notified by post.
Good Luck.
PS Don't keep this to yourself - If you tell your teachers about this excellent opportunity, then perhaps your whole class could take part. After all, the more entries submitted the higher the chance of winning.
So Pens, Pencils and Paints at the ready - and lets get cracking.
