Barry Town go in to their first match of the season against Bridgend at Treforest on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm, unbeaten in their pre-season friendlies.
Barry will be missing former Cardiff City players midfielder Leigh Vick (wedding) and defender Danny Kinsey, Barry"s new signing from Grange Quins (injury), but will see the return of Portuguese striker "Owen" whose father is making a special trip from Portugal to see his son"s first team competitive debut.
Another former Cardiff player, Paul Light, will also make his debut for Barry.
Bridgend are managed by former Barry Town favourites Franny Ford and Cohen Griffith.
Following Barry"s 5-0 demolition of Treharris, Barry drew 1-1 at Division 3 Penrhiwfer last Saturday.
The valley team took the lead in the first minute after lobbing the Barry goalkeeper, Billy Clarke. Substitute Chris Churcher finally gave Barry the equaliser in the 65th minute with a 30 yard diagonal shot. Barry can take great heart from an excellent second half performance.
Earlier in the week, Barry drew 2-2 with friends N&M Construction in a hastily arranged match.
Although quite a physical encounter, N&M played good football, showing why they are Barry"s top amateur side.
Their 11th minute lead was cancelled out in the 19th with Barry"s Gareth Hemmings hooking the ball into the net from five yards thanks to an assist from Leonne Jeanne.
Barry took the lead in the 55th minute thanks to a Jason Lukins shot from five yards, before N&M snatched a 70th minute equaliser from a goalmouth scramble.
*Barry Town will be running a coach from Jenner Park for future matches. A return to Treforest will cost £5. Anyone interested should contact the Club on 735858 or contact the Chairman.
Barry Town squad for Saturday: Billy Clarke, Chris Harry, Paul Light, Phil Arnold, Chris Morgan, Andy Rees, Lee Piotrowski, Anthony Ferguson, Anthony Redwood, Ali Kiyaga, Leonne Jeanne, Christian Churcher, "Maxi", Gareth Hemmens, "Owen", Jason Lukins, "Loco".
