Women banish eyesore wall

SIX women in the Vale who have nearly completed the Women on the Move Project, are leaving their mark at Palmerston Adult Education Centre in Barry.

They have created a mural facing the car park area - the work depicts the local swan sanctuary.

In doing so they have helped eliminate an eyesore of graffiti on a large wall facing a field, which is the result of long-term vandalism.

The goalposts painted on the wall have been left for the local children to enjoy their football.

The women have enjoyed the project and their comments of'where's the next wall?' have shown community art is for everyone - and will hopefully be one of the many positive outcomes from Women on the Move, a European Supported Project.
