FOUR people - including two from Barry - have been sentenced to a total of 13 years for conspiracy to supply heroin to inmates of Parc Prison.
Louise Reynolds, aged 29, and Noel James, aged 32, both of Barry, pleaded guilty to the charges and were sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court this week.
Anthony Daniel Roberts, aged 46, of Cardiff, who is currently serving a five-year sentence for possession of a firearm, was arranging for his 21-year-old son Jay Roberts, also of Cardiff, who was out of prison at the time, to supply heroin to Louise Reynolds of Barry.
The plan was for Reynolds to supply this to her partner Noel James, who was serving three years in the prison for possession with intent to supply heroin. He would then supply this heroin onwards within the prison.
All four pleaded guilty at Cardiff Crown Court.
Noel James was sentenced to four and a half years and must also serve the remaining 18 months of his sentence for possession with intent to supply heroin.
Louise Reynolds was sentenced to three years.
