Police arrest three after man left critical in assault

SOUTH Wales Police have arrested three men from Barry following an assault that left a 25-year-old man in a critical condition in hospital.

The assault took place between 12.50am and 1.10am on Monday, July 18,

The incident began in a kebab shop on Broad Street, from where the man was chased by a group of males along Broad Street into Windsor Road, along York Street and onto Market Street.

Police confirmed that two 18-year-olds and a 21-year-old from the town have been arrested, and are being questioned by police.

A spokesman added that inquiries are still ongoing, and they appealed for any witnesses or anyone with any information on the assault to come forward.

Police would particularly like to speak to a witness who was in the kebab shop and who they believe may have valuable information about the attack.

He is described as white, approximately 5ft 7in tall, of stocky build, in his late 30s, with blond hair, and wearing a long-sleeved pattered shirt and dark jeans.
