Park charge

WITH regard to the article in the "News" (June 30) about the Vale council charging to park in the town centre.

It just goes to show how narrow-minded the figureheads of the money-mad, grabbing, greedy council are. They are so short-sighted they need glasses to find their spectacles.

In case they are unaware, the town centre is out of their air-conditioned chateau and turn right, can"t miss it - it"s the great big tip, created by contract firms carrying out work and not bothering to clean up, and none of the environmental department bother to advise them to.

In short my message to the council, if they want people to want come to the town then there has to be something here to attract them.
