Article seen around world

A VALE of Glamorgan Council employee's ideas about football coaching will be read all over the world, after being published in a highly-acclaimed international journal.

Ryland Morgans, the council's football development officer, is delighted that his article on anaerobic fitness for players has been printed in the spring/summer edition of FA Learning Insight.

The specialised journal is published by the FA Coaches Association and is distributed to football players and coaches across the world.

Paul Nanji, the council's sports development officer, said: "This a truly fantastic and outstanding achievement for Ryland, as this journal is published internationally.

"The publication of Ryland's work recognises him as an authority on anaerobic fitness for footballers during childhood and adolescence, an area in which very little research has been done before."

Ryland added: "My article looks at how using anaerobic methods can be used in technical and tactical training for both professional and novice coaches.
