I remember that......

THE weather is hot and everyone is flocking to the beach to top up their sun tans. But what was it like years ago on the beach in Barry? Here is a picture of Barry Island Rock Gardens and Promenade in the early part of the 20th century. Throngs of people are on the beach in the background. Even though the weather looks hot, the men in the picture are wearing bowler hats and suits. Do you remember when the Island was this popular?
