Barry Town want to share Jenner

Barry Town FC and Barry Comprehensive School have submitted a joint proposal for Barry Town FC first team, reserve team and eight Academy teams to use Jenner Park next season.

Chairman Stuart Lovering, said: "This proposal represents the best use of Jenner Park imaginable. Barry Town is being built as a community football club with nearly all the players and coaching staff coming from Barry and the Vale.

"The Academy - a joint venture with Barry Comprehensive School and other schools to be included in due course - currently has eight teams with about 100 children. But this will be expanded over the coming months to about 30 teams - boys and girls - involving hundreds of children receiving the best coaching they can get. Thousands of parents, family and friends throughout Barry and the Vale will be following the children's progress"
