Teen trouble

AFTER reading your article about Romilly Park last week, I am amazed that everyone living around that area has not complained to the council and the police about the behaviour of the gangs of boys and girls who hang about the park.

I have witnessed first hand what happens down there, even banning one of my children from going there.

They do smoke, they do drink etc, they do use people's driveways and the roads as toilets.

Last week two teenage boys were actually walking up Romilly Park Road in just tiny briefs, holding cans of beer, with young girls walking behind them.

You can't say anything to them because all you get is a mouthful of abuse.

I personally don't want any of my children involved in any anti-social behaviour. Where has the word respect gone in this world today?

Does every parent of these gangs of teenagers, some up to 100, actually know where their children are, and what their children get up to in and around Romilly Park?

The police do go down there, but the kids either run away, or throw their cigarettes and alcohol away when the police approach them. Would some of these teenagers' parents like it if they did the same things outside of their homes every weekend?

I think not.
