Knap pool

WHEN anything has to be repaired in our once proud town, it seems to take the council an age to complete or build it.

Take for example the saga of the Knap pool, which has become our own "Diana Memorial" - when will it ever be finished?

The old Town Hall is taking longer to repair than the Empire State Building in New York took to build in the 1930s (14 months).

There is some good news for our council - the vandals have started to demolish another part of our town"s history, the Watch Tower at the Old Harbour.

The money and thousands and thousands of man hours saved by not employing the council demolition experts could be spent on more housing schemes, that any sane-minded person must realise cannot continue to swamp our town.
