Jumble sale

AS the Chairman of the Rhoose Village Preservation Group, I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped make our jumble sale a great success.

We raised over £600 to help pay for expert legal advice in our campaign to get an open, fair and public hearing into the "Rhoose Wedge" greenfield housing development.

I would like to extend a special note of thanks to the Barry White Farm campaigners who helped out, taking a busman"s holiday from their own efforts to prepare for a public hearing.

The council has scheduled the White Farm hearing for May 4, 5 and 6 at the Mount Sorrel Hotel in Barry.

Please find the time to go along and show your support for their fight to protect this open space for the community. The next meeting of the Rhoose Group will be in the Stewart Road Community Hall, Rhoose, at 7.30pm on Friday, May 6.
