ANOTHER year has passed and the fundraisers from the RNLI Barry Fundraising Branch are this week undertaking their annual house-to-house collections in Barry and Rhoose. These collections are necessary to keep the lifeboats on continuous call, 365 days a years, 24 hours a day.
This year we expect to find the collections more difficult due to the tsunami disaster. Nearly every household gave generously to this major disaster, but we ask that you do not forget the lifeboats at home, who receive no funding from government.
We have found that the donations we so desperately need have decreased since this disaster, but to maintain the very high standards that our organisation demands, we must at least maintain the sponsorship/fundraising achieved in the past.
We need your support, not only with your donations but with help in fundraising.
If you can spare time to help us then please contact 01446 720000.
Thanking you in anticipation of your continued support.
Philip Hunt RNLI Barry Fundraising Chairman
