Support for park work

THE Committee responsible for the Cadoxton Millennium Sports Park were very grateful for the kind words of your paper in both headline - Park Wait is Worth It - and Opinion column - Dedication To The Cause (Barry and District News, March 24).

As work is about to start, we hope the facility will enable the youth of this area to engage in worthwhile activities that will have a positive influence on them personally and on the community.

The Committee would like to express their deep appreciation for the support of Cllr Fred Johnson who has been a driving force since the beginning, and the officers of the Vale of Glamorgan Council Planning and Parks departments, who have worked at finding solutions to many of our obstacles.
