Lifeboat given 'valuable' new training aid

GENERAL manager of Dow Chemicals, Louis Oostvogels, presented a new resuscitation training aid to'Spud' Davies, the cox'n of the Barry Dock Lifeboat

Gerry Adams, the lifeboat press officer, said: "This valuable piece of equipment is vital to keep the crew well trained in resuscitation skills.

"It will enable the crew to train and practice in between the training given by the RNLI training units, South Wales Ambulance Service and other medical staff at the station.

"We are very grateful to the very generous donation from Dow Chemicals."
