Vandals embark on car damage spree

POLICE in Barry are appealing for information after 21 incidents of vehicle crime occurred between 7pm on February 25, and 8am on February 26, in the Buttrills and Baruc area of Barry.

The incidents all took place on Market Street, York Place, Porthkerry Road and Jenner Road.

The damage caused to the vehicles included tyres being slashed, wing mirrors damaged and scratches to the side panels of a number of cars.

Police would like help to trace a young man who was seen in the area at the time.

He is described as white, 16 to 18 years old, of average build, approximately 5ft 10in tall, wearing a blue or black, heavy cotton sweatshirt with a hood and a thick white stripe down each arm.

Dc Mike Ruddall, added: "We are particularly interested in tracing two female teenagers who were in the area of Porthkerry Road at approximately 11pm on Friday February 25."
