Pupils learn survival skills survival skills

FORTY pupils from Barry Comprehensive attended an activities day at Cwrt-Y-Gollen Army Training Camp, Crickhowell.

WO2 Richie Brown and the Army Youth Training Team instructed the boys in a range of skills and activities, including team-working, survival skills, camouflage techniques, and tackling the assault course.

Plunging into a river on the freezing January day proved to be one of the more memorable events.

The school is very grateful to the Army Careers Team in Cardiff for their invitation to attend the day and to the training team for their professionalism and the warm welcome they afforded the group.
