Pupils put on a special show for class assembly

YEAR 4 pupils at All Saints Church in Wales Primary School have been busy.

The youngsters staged a class assembly for invited guests and fellow pupils.

They dramatised the story of the creation and included some stunning animal dances. They emphasised the importance of caring for the world God created for us and how we should all try harder to preserve it for future generations.

The pupils have been studying Kenya in their Geography lessons and included information and pictures about how we can help others who are in need.

Guest Pam Morris has recently returned from a visit to a village school in Kenya where she delivered letters from Year 4 to the Kenyan pupils.

She has been talking to Year 4 about her experiences and, at the end of the assembly, she thanked them for a wonderful performance and presented the school with a hand-carved model of a Kenyan fishing boat, which was a gift to All Saints from the village school.

Headteacher Richard Ware was delighted and touched by the gift and the Year 4 children are keen to retain their links with the Kenyan pupils.
