Athlete - Tourist

ATHLETE can do no wrong at the moment.

They are storming through the singles chart with Wires and the album Tourist is sitting on top of the album chart.

But on Tourist, the London four-piece have ditched the quirky pop of their debut and instead created an album that rivals Coldplay with its sweeping guitars, soaring melodies and emotive lyrics.

There's an awful lot going on in this collection, from strings and hands-on instrumentals to electronic beats.

As a result Tourist manages to sound both epic and personal at the same time - a hard balance to achieve but one that makes the difference between success and failure.
