    FOLLOWING Wednesday's thumping of the Athletic in the Vale midweek League, it was the turn of Mountain Ash to be entertained by Barry Wanderers Cricket Club. The firsts travelled up the valley, lost the toss and were asked to bat on a good batting wicket. With skipper Lanagan and Sherriff opening they put on 24 before Lanagan edged one behind for 17. Man of the week Richard Johnson was next in and he followed up from where he left off on Wednesday with a controlled 77, ably assisted by Sherriff with 38 off 28 overs. read more
